The Challenge

In 2020, the entire travel industry was forced to struggle with Covid-19-related travel restrictions. The cessation of advertising measures was the result for many providers. But this was not the case with TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen, which presented vacation-ready users with a few destinations for future trips during the crisis

The Objective

In the travel & tourism industry, individual communication with the potential target group via newsletter marketing is an important component to convincingly advertise own offers. Therefore, the newsletter database of TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen should be expanded.

The solution

In close cooperation with the agency Kontor Digital Media, ad pepper media designed and programmed its own responsive landing page to attract prospective customers. Using the in-house adCreator advertising software, various banner sets were created that were adapted to the Lower Saxony’s main vacation themes. In this way, several areas of interest could be covered and the desire to travel to and within Lower Saxony was sparked. In addition, the leads were checked through a multi-stage validation process before receiving the welcome newsletter sent out by ad pepper media.

The Result

By addressing the various target groups in the correct way, an average of 400 leads were generated per week, successfully expanding the customer’s newsletter database. With the help of a small survey on the landing page, the exact areas of interest of the users in a Lower Saxony trip were researched, with which the TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen can now tailor the newsletter more precisely to the interests of the users in the future.
